I used to be a metal kid. Well teenage metal. Grunge, Metallica, lots of stuff that I pretty much dropped when I first heard Orbital's Brown album when I was 15 or 16. I was always really picky about the vocals on some extreme music. This album by Sloath got me listening again. It sounds like part post rock, theres a definite hit of Rano Pano on 'The piece' and of course Sunn O)) who I still hadn't broken into at the time. There's blusier stuff on here but the opener wa
