I'm still unsure how I've come to love Prefab Sprout so much. There is something so genuinley emotionally raw fromm their songs. There's usually a couple of tracks on an album that nearly bring me to tears. I think they've been in my life now for about 10 years and Jordan the comeback is only the Third that I own. First it was Swoon and the difficuly pop of Dont Sing and Cue Fanfare. Then on to Steve McQueen.
I havent pushed it, I've almost let each album come to me when it felt right. Today I came across Jordan and it doesnt dissapoint.
Wild Horses has stood out. With its simple beat, sparse pallette and stunning sound. There's almost a drag in the whole chorus that has a Dilla esque feel.
Janny Agutter even makes a spoken word appearance. Whats not to love
